Inspired by my trip back to Dominica on 2017 where I spent some time with my grandmother. We spent a few hours by the Macoucherie river on the Macoucherie Estate in St. Joseph, Dominica . This piece brings back nostalgia from my early childhood days.

Dominica is known as the nature Isle in the Caribbean with an abundance of flora and fauna. I wanted to display that in this painting with the addition of my take on the traditional Kweyol dress of the Island.
