Recent Works​
 

Currently, I am exploring the use of texture of oil paint on canvas. The thick brush strokes, palette knife use, alongside patterns, and lines are all visible my practice. Inspired by the vibrancy of Caribbean life, I try to display positivity in my work. Loud, bright colours are a must for me as I believe they really bring the canvas to life. I use abstract work as a sort of escapism, I am particularly drawn towards the more vibrant colours on the spectrum as shown in my recent  paintings. My most recent work displays my interpretation of the Nature Isle of the Caribbean, Dominica. I aim to capture an essence of the Island through narrating the scenes of locations visited on the Island, which allows the viewer to see Dominica through my lens.
